
Jamaica Accountability Framework (March 2010)
Strengthening the accountability framework and mechanisms for the Government's senior executive management, is part of the fundamental management reform initiative under way in Jamaica and is critical for managing for results.
This initiative has resulted in the elaboration of an Accountability Framework for Senior Executive Officers (Permanent Secretaries, Chief Executive Officers of Executive Agencies and Public Bodies) which was approved by way of Cabinet Decision No. 02/10.
The framework clarifies responsibilities, expectations and reporting relationships for senior executive officers and establishes a system whereby their performance can be consistently evaluated.
