Performance Management and Evaluation
The Government of Jamaica, in its effort to strengthen results-based management in the public sector, has sought to implement an Integrated Managing for Results (MfR)Programme, through the support of the Inter- American Development Bank‟s PRODEV II Programme.
The primary focus of the MfR Programme is putting systems in place to require and assist civil servants to maximize the utility of the resources they manage, through measurement of targets and monitoring of government organizations and individual civil servants, so as to ensure that they meet the requirements for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
