Public Sector Transformation Parish Consultations
As the implementation phase of the transformation of the Public Sector progresses, the PSTU will embark on a series of events that will serve to inform all public sector employees about the transformation activities to date, the next steps and the way forward.
To this end the PSTU began a series of islandwide parish meetings on October 5, 2011, to provide Public Sector employees at all levels the opportunity to voice their issues, concerns and recommendations about the transformation of the Public Sector.
The consultations were led by former Senator, the Honourable Arthur Williams, Minister without Portfolio with Responsibility for the Public Service. The other panellists were Mrs. Pat Sinclair McCalla, CEO of the PSTU; Mrs. Helene Davis-Whyte, Vice President of the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU); and Mr. Richard Lumsden, Programme Manager for Vision 2030 Jamaica - National Development Plan at the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ).
The schedule for the meetings is listed below. Please note that the meetings scheduled for December 13 in Clarendon (9:30 - 11:30 a.m.) and St. Catherine (2:30 - 4:00 p.m.) were postponed until further notice.
