Strategic Business and Operational Plan Template

The implementation of the Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System (PMES) commenced with the introduction of the Strategic Business Planning Process in eight (8) pilot Ministries in the 2010/2011 Financial Year. These Ministries were required to prepare and submit a results-based Strategic Business Plan, in accordance with the new Government of Jamaica's Strategic Business Plan Template provided.

To date, all Ministries have been introduced to PMES and its new planning requirements, through meetings held with Executive and Senior Management Staff, as well as monthly-held workshops / conferences with Corporate Planners and other key stakeholders. Reiteration of the implementation process and practice is currently taking place with newly established Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Working Groups in Ministries. Each Group is comprised of Executive and / or Senior Management Staff with support provided by the Corporate Planner / Corporate Planning representative.

Effective April 1, 2012 all Ministries are therefore, expected to prepare and submit a finalized Strategic Business Plan, as well as an Operational Plan for year 1 of the Business Plan (please access Templates for both Plans below).
Similar to the Government's Strategic Business Plan Template, the newly developed Operational Plan Template is provided with the necessary instructions and guide for preparation.
